Besides the intelligence and power of the drastic changes of the three phases of Rimuru's skill above are the emotions and personality that he has acquired
Ultimate Skill [Raphael, Lord of Wisdom] which is the evolution of Unique Skill [Great Sage], will later evolve into Manas: Ciel
These evolutions will make A.I. skills. Rimuru's is getting stronger and smarter. Not only that, the evolution causes personality changes too
While still a Unique Skill, this Great Sage who has no emotions and feelings does anything for Rimuru just by relying on logical thinking alone.
After becoming an Ultimate Skill, Raphael remains emotionless. However, a glimmer of ego had grown in him and made him able to feel feelings
Finally, when evolving into Manas, Ciel was finally able to understand a feeling and was able to express himself because he already had emotions
Those three differences you can see for yourself in the picture above, where the Great Sage's eyes look like machines, Raphael's eyes look cold, and Ciel's eyes sparkle.
If you think that Great Sage and Raphael's behavior in anime is cranky or something, it's actually just fanservice.
